Christ Community Church
14 Congress Parkway South, Athens, TN, 37303
What to expect on your first visit to Christ Community Church of Athens.
Greeting-- We do not have a particular group of people assigned to greet visitors. Just be prepared! You will be greeted with many smiles, hand shakes and yeah, we are a hugging bunch. So if you get asked your name fifty times and someone makes a bee line across the church to say "Hello" don't run!
Worship-- Our worship services are contemporary and focus on giving glory to God. We are blessed with an awesome group of talented folks who love to praise God. We are diverse in our worship, meaning we may sing an old hymn to a new beat, we sing the Psalms. Some clap, some sit, some stand. We are blessed in the fact that the Holy Spirit is allowed to move freely, yet in order as the scripture says worship should be.
Teaching-- Anyone can preach! But it takes one with a true servant's heart to teach. Pastor Carlos has that heart. He teaches the full counsel of the Word of God and allows the Holy Spirit to work in and through him to feed his flock. Pastor Carlos is blessed with the ability to teach the scripture in a way that one comes away with the ability of how to take the scripture and apply it to everyday life. Do not expect "Bless Me" or "Atta Boy" sermons. You will not find those here. What you will find is a Pastor who teaches the full counsel and rightly divides the Word of God. Through that truth you will be blessed!
Teaching Aids-- Various forms of media are used in Pastor's teachings, study guides are handed out for you to follow along with the message. A projector is used in different ways, and from time to time media clips are used to reiterate the Pastor's message.
Dress-- Here at CCC of Athens, our focus is not on what one is wearing, our focus is on getting to know you and your family, meeting Spiritual needs and reaching our Community for Christ. Dress comfortably and casually. After all Pastor Carlos forgets his socks on a regular basis!
Children-- We have an awesome program for our children! From newborn to junior high, all age groups are ministered to at their own level. We do not warehouse our children, they are taught Biblical precepts by an experienced, loving group of people.
Media Room-- Due to a variety of reasons there are times one cannot sit in the sanctuary and enjoy the Worship and Teaching, therefore we provide an area where one can still enjoy the service.
If you have a question that has not been answered here you are welcome to contact us via e-mail or phone.
With all that said we truly look forward to you joining us Sunday Morning at 10:30 a.m.

Church of Jesus Christ
PO Box 203, Norcross, Georgia, 30091
"When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, 'Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?' And they said, 'Some say that Thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.' He saith unto them, 'But whom say ye that I am?' And Simon Peter answered and said, 'Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.' And Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father Which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.' Then charged He His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ." -- MATTHEW 16:13-20 (KJV)

CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST INTERNATIONAL
180 CORVIN ROAD NORTH EAS, Cleveland, Tennessee, 37323-5453
The Churches of Jesus Christ is one of the oldest Oneness Pentecostal organizations in the world. It was incorporated in 1927 by Bishop Mark K. Lawson who established the general offices at Cleveland, Tennessee. However, we believe the Church of Jesus Christ is best described as an "organism." That is, the church is the body of Christ and therefore it should function as a body without schisms (1 Corinthians 12:13-31). Like the individual parts of a body, each member church is independent in operation, function and ministry while they still support the efforts and mission of The Churches of Jesus Christ International (Mark 16:16). Our basic tenants of faith are summarized in Ephesians 4:1-6 and Zechariah 14:9. While we recognize there may be some differences among our brethren, we believe maintaining a spirit of unity will help lead us into the unity of the faith.

FAITH CONNECTION CHURCH
1106 TASSO LANE, Cleveland, Tennessee, 37312
Faith Connection is a new church launching in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Our journey is a passionate pursuit to become, and to help others become, fully alive in God. We seek to become an expression of Christ's love far beyond the walls of a church building.

FCC is not a church for perfect people. We are all about cultivating a friendly atmosphere where people can connect, grow, and experience authentic spiritual community.

FCC will be officially launching in the Fall of 2008. We will be having several interest meetings throughout the summer for people to come and learn more about our extraordinary vision. If you'd like to know more about attending an interest meeting, click here and RSVP for the next meet and greet gathering.

We are also interested in meeting people whom God may be calling to FCC to be a part of our launch team. We have many areas for people to get involved - from worship musicians, to creative arts, to media ministry, to children's workers. What is a launch team?

If you'd like to be part of this new and fresh move of God and want to be part of something much bigger than yourself, then pray about joining our launch team.

At FCC, we love God - and we love people. That's why your story matters to us. We'd love to hear from you!

First Baptist Church of Etowah Tennessee
824 Washington Avenue, Etowah, Tennessee, 37331
Principles We Value

First Baptist Church of Etowah seeks to be a free and faithful voice of the Gospel, witnessing with integrity to Jesus Christ and the mission of the church. The church believes in and dedicates itself to preserving and practicing historic Baptist principles, freedoms, and traditions. Among these are...

Soul Freedom (The principle belief that each human being is created with dignity, and as such, embodies the capacity to enter into relationship with the creator on his or her own free will. Historically, baptists have referred to this freedom as The Priesthood of All Believers.)

Church Freedom (The principle belief that each local church has the freedom and responsibility to interpret scripture, select its own leaders, and make its own decisions in matters related to church governance. Inherent in this freedom is a strong support of the Separation of Church & State, for which Baptists have historically been champions.)

Bible Freedom (The principle belief that individuals and congregations have the freedom and the responsibility to interpret sacred scripture for themselves.)

Religious Freedom (The principle belief that every individual has the right to freedom of religion...freedom for religion and even freedom from religion.)

We value worship, religious education, missions and evangelism, theological depth and diversity, intellectual openness, religious freedom, social consciousness, responsible stewardship, and warm fellowship.

First Presbyterian Church
581 Hillcrest Drive, Etowah, TN, 37331
About Us

The beginning of the history of the First Presbyterian Church in Etowah dates back to the earliest days of Etowah's existence. It was organized on the fourth Sunday in June, 1908 by Rev. J.E. Robinson, Superintendent of Home Missions in the Presbytery of Knoxville. Today First Presbyterian-Etowah is part of the Presbytery of East Tennessee in the PC(USA).

The First Presbyterian Church of Etowah has adapted to many changes through the years in an effort to serve the needs of those around us. In 1987 a day care was organized at our church to help meet the needs of our community. The Christian Children's Center is a fully accredited learning center with Brooke Buckner serving as the Director of the C.C.C. and can be contacted at (423) 263-3470.

The congregation of First Presbyterian-Etowah is active in and supports various mission projects both locally and internationally. Local projects include the Etowah Food Pantry, Etowah Transient Fund, Hope Crisis Center, 2 Cents A Meal and more. On an international level, we are fortunate to have retired missionaries Rev. Doug and Betty Elwood as members of our congregation. The Elwoods were missionaries to the Philippines for many years and founded The Little Children of the World organization. The international organization is based in Etowah with the Elwoods heading up the organization. For more information on L.C.W., visit their web-site at www.littlechildren.org or e-mail them at lcotw@tds.net or phone (423) 263-2303.

The women of our church, Presbyterian Women, meet monthly on the second Tuesday for Bible Study and a brief business meeting. This organization was formed to work for the advancement of the Church spiritually, socially and financially and continue to work towards those goals today.

A Cancer Support Group was organized in our church after several members of our congregation and community were diagnosed with cancer. The Support Group is led by Bobbie Keith, a member of our congregation, and meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

While a lot of churches have beautiful stained glass windows or banners, First Presbyterian-Etowah is blessed with heirloom quality, wool needlepoint tapestries. The plan for the original seventeen needlepoint pieces was the inspiration of Jean Stone. The hand painted designs for the Seal of the Church, the Symbols and the Flowers of the Bible were commissioned from Ann E. Pester, a professional needlepoint designer in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Crosses were designed by Helen Taylor, a member of our church, who taught the majority of the women in the needle point group the art of needlepoint. Thirteen women worked for nearly a year on the seventeen pieces, using approximately 626,080 stitches to complete the project. The Presbyterian Church, USA seal was worked & donated by Adele Lattimore who did many of the original tapestries along with two new ones depicting the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed. The tapestries now grace the walls of our sanctuary. Their beauty and meaning add to our worship.

You are welcome to experience our labyrinth. This meditation tool is located on the front lawn of the church and is open to the public.

There are many ways to describe a labyrinth. It is a path of prayer, a walking meditation, a crucible of change, a watering hole for the spirit and a mirror of the soul. May your spirit be nourished on your labyrinth journey.
The labyrinth is not a maze. There are no tricks to it and no dead ends. It has a single circuitous path that winds into the center. The person walking it uses the same path to return and the entrance then becomes the exit. The path is in full view, which allows a person to be quiet and focus internally. Generally there are three stages to the walk: releasing on the way in, receiving in the center and returning; that is, taking back out into the world that which you have received. There is no right way or wrong way to walk a labyrinth. Use the labyrinth in any way that meets your present need.

God's Storehouse of Blessings
County Rd 713, Riceville, Tennessee, 37370
I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior on Nov
14 of 1991. The change in my life and my perspective was
immediate. Soon after being born again, Christ called me to
preach his precious Word. I will forever be indebted to my
Lord for the salvation he provided me. My goal in this life is
simple--tell others the good news of Jesus Christ, for I know
if it worked for me it will work for anyone else. I have a
responsibility to shepherd a wonderful flock in which the
Lord has entrusted me. My desire is to seek the face of God
and preach what he has instructed me to say. I believe this
could be the last generation before the rapture of the church.
Because time is so short and life is nothing more than a
vapor, it is important to make every moment count.

So if you're looking for a church where Christ is King and
truth is still preached and taught, your search is over.
Hope to see you soon and may God bless you!

Dear Friends,

I am so excited to share with you an incredible opportunity of Ministry work , first and foremost let me begin with my personal testimony, friends I lost my father during the civil war in 1989 June at 12: pm , the rebels came and slaughtered my dad in front of his family , amazing grace they did not do any harm to me , from that time friends I cried to God for help , my mother was left helpless with 8 of us in number and she could not educate all of us , but friends I ask God to educate me so that I will do his work in any where he wants me to be and indeed God had my prayers I became save in 1996 , from there I ask God to tell me what he wants me to do and that, that he doesn’t want me to do , God then answered me all this questions and what he doesn’t want me to do is not to touch his anointed ones . I started to learn keyboard, guitar, drums, reading the Bible and worshiping him deeply in my heart, good news friends I managed to study up to high Education level God then perfected in all these I lead praise and worship, I play instruments, I persuade diploma in theology, am an evangelist, friends with all that I witness from the death of my father am now dedicated and devoted to do Gods work with all my heart and all my strength , people in my ancestors land , I have a land ready to use it to build the house of God where his people offers worship to him the most high king of kings and Lord of Lords no matter what may come my way my life is in his hands. The purpose of this letter is not only to tell you about my testimony, but also to ask you if you would consider joining me as a prayer partner. Challenges abound as we prepare and I ask that you would please pray for my family as well and the health of the Christians. Pray that through this experience, we would listen to the lead of the holly spirit with a greater understanding and compassion for Gods people we know very little about. Please also pray for me personally as I minister through the congregation, that I would always be effective, humble servant leader. With your prayer support, I know that God will not only use us, but also bless the entire mission.
Also, as part of our challenge in preparing for this great Mission call and commitment, we are in need of instrument like keyboard, amplifier, loudspeakers, generator and microphones, for open air crusades and outreach evangelism. Please also consider becoming a part of our Ministry support. , you can contact us at the following telephone number: +256-715143891 / +256-712709704
Your contributions are of great blessing to our ministry
Thanks so much for your prayers and support!
Yours faithfully

South Cleveland Church of God
3655 Georgetown Road Nort, Cleveland, Tennessee, 37312
South Cleveland Church of God had its start over 100 years ago as a Sunday school mission held in an old house off South Ocoee Street by two ladies, Sisters Trimm and Chambers.

As more space was needed, an open-air tabernacle was built and services were held there for more than twenty years. The first church building was constructed in 1928. South Cleveland Church of God was formally organized with eighty members in 1935 making it one of the oldest congregations in the Church of God.

In 1946 the old church properties were sold and a new structure built at the 940 South Ocoee location. A fire seriously damaged the building and repairs were made. By 1964 space was needed and under the direction of Rev. Lloyd Jones, a new sanctuary was built north of the older building.

Again in 1985 more space was needed. Under the direction of Rev. B. J. Moffitt the sanctuary was completely refurbished and a new educational plant and foyers were erected. The final additions to the property were the total renovation of the old church building into a modern fellowship hall and classrooms. In 1992, the completed project was dedicated as Roberts Hall, in honor of the late Arthell Roberts, former church clerk.

Under the direction of the Pastor Chris Moody, South Cleveland purchased twenty-four acres on APD-40 and sold their facilities at the 940 South Ocoee location in 2006. While the property is debt free, construction of the new facilities has started and is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2008. We are presently worshiping at Cleveland Middle School located at 3655 Georgetown Road.

THE FAMILY CHURCH OF GOD AT DAYTON
3314 RHEA COUNTY HIGHWAY, Dayton, Tennessee, 37321
Welcome! We are delighted that you are interested in knowing more about The Family Church, the Dayton Church of God. Pastor Mike & Cherel, the church staff and the entire congregation welcome you and extend an invitation to browse these web pages to discover who we are and what we’re trying to do in Dayton and around the world.
This section is designed to provide you with insights into the vision and mission of The Family Church as well as our doctrines and beliefs. Furthermore we will attempt to convey our philosophy of ministry: why we do what we do and why we do it the way we do!
Lastly, our objective is to accomplish all of this within the context of community; people who are committed to each other. Church, then, becomes much more than a conglomeration of people who believe the same thing but a collective group of people who belong. Believing is important but knowing that you belong is equally important.

Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Athens
201 E. Washington Ave., Athens, TN, 37303
We Are Not Normal. Well, for one thing we have been changed by the power and grace of our Lord, Jesus.
For another thing, we don’t expect you to get dressed up Sunday morning. We expect you to come just as you are. We do. Most of us wear jeans and dress casual. We know we could never dress up enough for our King. He’s more interested in how we are on the inside.
We also actually believe the Bible isn’t just for reading… it’s for doing too! At the Vineyard, we want to go out and “do the stuff” of Jesus- spread the good news, feed the hungry, heal the sick, and free the oppressed.
Our worship is a little different. Worship should move your spirit, and express your love to God. We get a little loud, and we don’t always stop when we planned.
So if you are looking for something different, not just “church as usual”, stop by and see us.

Westmore Church of God
2412 Wolfe Drive, Cleveland, Tennessee, 37320
We Believe:

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.

In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.

In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
